Glenda Ann Thaxton, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Alive Hospice Residence, after a massive stroke.

Ann was born April 29, 1939, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late Glenn B. Long and Myrtle Baskins Long.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Buford Thaxton, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Frank Buford (Sheila) Thaxton, Jr.; daughter, Dana (Brad) Crowe; brother, Robert “Bobby” Long; six grandchildren, Jonathan Crowe, Sean Crowe, Elliott Thaxton, Dewight Thaxton, Paige Thaxton, and Chelsea Thaxton; and five great-grandchildren, Emmalyn, Zayden, Aubree, Denver, and Meredith.

Mrs. Thaxton retired from First American Bank and was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Karen Barrineau and Rev. Corrie Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 14, from 9:00 a.m.until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Crowe, Sean Crowe, Elliott Thaxton, Dewight Thaxton, Joey Long, Jeff Long, and Rob Long.
